Breaking Ground
Beate Hølmebakk represented in Breaking Ground, Architecture by Women, Phaidon. The Forvik Ferry Stop was selected to represent the work of manthey kula in the book.
Installing in Frankfurt
The aluminium tables have arrived from Stuttgart and are ready to be placed inside the Panorama Hall. The size of the elevator set the dimensions for the pieces. We will install the elements together with Uniplan and lcla .
Pålsbu hydro power station exhibited In Norwegian Landscapes, DAM, Frankfurt
The three meter long wooden model will cantilever from the railing of the exhibition space at Deutsches Architekturmuseum.

Prototype for Guest of Honor Pavilion at the Gyldendal House
A full scale prototype of one of the tables for the Guest of Honor Pavillion is temporarily installed in the publishing house. We are very grateful to Gyldendal for making it possible for us to examine the structure under the roof of one of architect Sverre Fehn’s last buildings.

Skreda Rest Area nominated to the Mies van der Rohe Award 2019
We are very happy to hear that the Skreda Rest Area is nominated to this prestigious prize and grateful to those who nominated the project. This is the third manthey kula project to be nominated to the MvdR Award.

Moving the office
After 8 years in Pilestredet 75C we move the office to Rosenborggata 19B; same block, but different yard. It is a bit sad to leave the characteristic tunnel shaped space and the brick utility tower we built with C.P. and C.E. in 2010.
Stella’s Room at Sørum almost ready
What a privilege to get to add a small room to this great place, beautifully transformed over the years by Knut Wold and the late Are Vesterlid.
Studio visit
Per Inge Bjørlo will make the artwork for the Tullholmen Pier in Karlstad. A very inspiring visit to his studio to see the idea for the sculpture.
Construction site Skreda
Visit to the construction site for the Skreda Rest Area, the furniture is ready to be mounted on the platform.
Site visit to Hårr
First visit to the site for a new viewpoint for the National Scenic Routes. The site borders to the Atlantic ocean and the wide landscape is covered with stones brought here by the glacier, some from the eastern part of the country. What a place!
